“Lover” – new single from Liz Jones & Broken Windows

After producing their debut album “Broken Windows”, it was wonderful to have Liz and the band back in my studio to record their new single “Lover”, written by Liz and guitarist John Bruce.

Broken Windows are truly a force to be reckoned with live, and that was the vibe I wanted to capture when recording “Lover”. They are a six piece, so I expanded my studio to accommodate all of them playing at once. An additional live room allowed the quieter instruments (acoustic guitar, mandolin & voice) to be recorded away from the drums, giving clarity to all instruments while retaining the live energy of the band.
