A graduate of the Strathclyde University BA Applied Music degree, Jennifer believes that good all round musicianship is the key to successful bass playing, and her teaching approach reflects this. Individual aspects of the instrument are emphasised as well as its application in a wider musical context.
Students are welcome to bring their own instrument or use one from Jennifer's collection during lesson time. The student can choose from 4, 5 and 6 string bass guitars, fretless bass guitar, acoustic bass guitar, double bass and electric double bass.
Lessons are in Glasgow City Centre near George Square, five minutes walk from the main railway stations & subway. Cars can be parked nearby free of charge after 6pm - for other times King Street car park is cost effective and convenient.
Rates are £15 for half an hour and £25 for a full hour. Longer lessons or workshops can be specially arranged on request - please contact Jennifer for enquiries and bookings.
